BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN! ON GUARD FOR THE TRASH MAN!

SEE CARMEN'S PHOTO BELOW.
NOW THERE IS A GAL WITH
FLASH, AND ATTITUDE!
THANKS, RONNIE!

Got up around 5:45 to put out the last bag of trash.
You know, the foodstuffs and wrappers that, if you put
them out the night before, all the innards would be
littered about the yard.  Varmints.  Coffee has just finished
brewing so I need a cuppa.  Hang on!
We have started watching HBO's " Boardwalk Empire".
Rental, for the time.  We have watched the first two
disc's and have already deduced that,  at some  in the
future, it will be added to our collection of DVDs.
That period of time in history, between the two world
wars, prohibition and the Volstead Act, the Temperance
movement and women gaining voting rights, has always
been one of interest.   A lot of research went into the
making of this show.  Tons of characters to keep track of.
The good, the bad and all those caught up in the turbulent
era.
This just came out on DVD.  Now, for those of you who
never watched The Soprano's, Carnivale, Deadwood, or
The Wire, you might not find this type of show appealing.
Too convoluted or disjointed.  Each episode seems to
pull you deeper into that world.  Don't kid yourself,
your fellow man has not changed all that much in modern
times.  He has just gotten slicker at it.  The greed and
corruption is just as prevalent now as it was back then.
The stock market crash of 1929 was not far off and
with so many fingers in the till, things got pretty ugly for
those in the cities.
Like I stated earlier, a lot of research went into the making
of this series, and while there are those that merely
view this sort of thing as merely entertainment, it's a slice
of our history.  Or, as Omar says : "Read a book, and learn
about our not so sweet and cuddly past".
Good coffee this morning.  Gail went back to sleep for a
while.  Her reverie will be interrupted by the trash truck
and Omar,  in a little while.  Pancakes for breakfast,
compliments of Mr. Squiggee.
The temperature said 39 degrees in Tucson, this morning.
The winter has been a colder than normal this year, so I
am told.  It's tough on the vegetation, as well.
I do have a few errands to take care of this morning, but I
have some other stuff to tell you, so drop back by.  Sounds
like Facebook is going to force more changes on everyone,
so I shall be bidding them a not so fond farewell.  It served
it's purpose and it's time to move on.  This circle of friends,
timeline, etc. is a "load of old cobblers", as they say.
Catch you later.  Spell check and I am outta here.
